Small Shoes to Fill

Spencer and I are so excited to share that we are expecting a baby in February.

We are so happy and totally adore our baby’s birhmom and birthdad.  They are awesome people.  I can’t wait to tell you more about them. 

As excited as we are about our good adoption news, it is bittersweet for us to share.  We are mindful of our many friends who are still waiting for their little one.  The wait is so hard and we don’t want to do anything to make it harder on any of the people we care about so much. 

We love you guys.  Thanks for all of the support and prayers offered on our behalf.  We know we aren’t the only ones who have been praying for this baby, and we are very touched and very grateful.

    I have been reading your blog off and on for the last couple of months. My husband and I just finalized the adoption of our son on National Adoption Day and had him sealed on Black Friday. It was such a rollercoaster journey and I am so thrilled for you and your husband to be on the ride too! Congrats!!!

    Congratulations! I am so so happy for you! You two will be the most wonderful parents! The other day I was reading in Luke 1 about Zacharias and Elizabeth, and came across this verse: "And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless." I couldn't help but think of you and some of my other wonderful friends who are waiting for their babies. But the Lord heard and answered their prayers then, and he hears yours now. So very happy for you!
