We Should Be In Texas

…but we’re not.

Our plans fell through.  We aren’t expecting a baby anymore.  We are heartbroken and hurting.  But we will be okay.

We have felt a peace we never would have thought possible, especially considering the circumstances. We know we aren’t alone.  I have felt a lot of emotions the past several days, but despair has not been one of them.  We still know, without a doubt, that Heavenly Father has a plan for our family.  We know we will find our baby.  It may take a little longer, but that’s okay.  He or she is definitely worth the wait.

  1. I'm sure you have learned that the plan Heavenly Father has in store for us isn't always the one we had in mind...it's even better.

  4. I'm so sorry. This happened to us twice and it was so heartbreaking. Taking down the nursery and seeing all the stuff that you bought for your baby is hard too. Take a break with your husband and if you need to shut the door to the nursery for awhile.

When we were chosen for our boy and when we came home with him I finally understood why those failed placements had to happen. When you see your child it makes you anxious that it might not have happened if all the little "pieces" didn't fall into place just right, even when it is hard to understand at first. Stay strong.

  5. Oh Whitney. My heart is breaking. You will be in my prayers tonight and every night. I'm so so sorry. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help--even if you just need to vent. I am here.

You are ever faithful, and I ADMIRE you.

I know I've probably told you this before, but one of my favorite scriptures is in Psalms: "Weeping may endure the night, but joy comes in the morning." Sometimes the "night" lasts for weeks and months, but eventually joy does return. I'm sure there have been and will be tearful nights. I am praying for your "morning" to come soon!!!

  20. Oh, Whitney. Dear, dear, Whitney. My heart goes out to you in a way it couldn't have a month ago. I make a point never to say this, but after reading your post, I think it's safe to say that at least to some degree:

I know exactly how you feel.

My heart is so with you. My prayers are so with you. And all all all of my love.

    Love,
    Katie
