Thumbelino

Uh oh… I think we have a thumb sucker on our hands.  He hasn’t even liked his pacy in over a month now, but he quite suddenly decided that he likes his thumb.  Every time I went to check on him during naps/bedtime, he had that thumb firmly planted in his little mouth.

A tiny part of me worries that he might develop a bad habit or mess up his teeth (which aren’t even there yet!).  But, it is mighty cute.  Little toot.

  1. Ethan has been doing that for a while now. None of my did that - none even took pacifiers so it's weird to me and I worry sometimes but I agree it's oh so cute!

  2. He is so precious! And look at those eyelashes! I think Sam might end up a thumb sucker too... The good news? You won't have to find his pacifier in the middle of the night when it falls out of the crib!

  3. I have a little thumb sucker too and I agree--adorable!

    You shouldn't worry too much about his teeth--it's only a problem if they are still sucking their thumb when their adult teeth are forming {around age 6} and most kids stop before then or when they start school.

    He is seriously so stinkin cute!

    {PS I've never commented before, but I've been following your story for a long time through Katie @ The red kitchen--she was a freshman friend at college. So happy to see you guys so happy!}

  4. My youngest is a thumb sucker. He, too, gave up the pacifier. At about 2 months and then a month or two later discovered his best friend, Mr. Thumb. Now...over two years later, it's still SO cute. I worry about his teeth but we'll come to that later. It's the BEST soother. You never EVER forget it or lose it. :)

    Such cute pictures. So sweet.
