2010 in a Nutshell

In case you didn’t get one… Here is our little family newsletter for 2010.  If you don’t know us well, then hopefully you can get a little glimpse into the past year of our lives.

Dear Family and Friends,

As with any year, 2010 was filled with many high points. We proudly share with you ten of our favorites (in no particular order).

1. We moved to Texas for a job opportunity. We enjoy living in a cute little rental home.

2. With us came Lizzy, our adorable little puppy. She is a chihuahua-mix, but we often tell people she is a miniature golden retriever.

3. Spencer was hired at KAUZ-TV as a reporter, and was soon promoted to co-anchor the morning show along with his reporting duties.

4. Whitney enjoys working from home maintaining her family’s veterinary website. On the side she has been having growing success with her own small photography business.

5. As per usual, we dressed up together for Halloween. This year we were a “self-portrait.” Get it?

6. It was fun playing host to visiting family members in July. Spencer’s sister Jennifer came for a few days followed by (7) Whitney’s family the very next week. Tours, games, and outings to water parks abounded.

8. We managed to find lots of fun family activities, Including, but not limited to: fairs, plays, short road trips to neighboring towns, a BYU football game in Fort Worth, museums, flea markets, picnics, and the nations longest one-day bike race. We look forward to spending Christmas in California with family.

9. We are excited to be in the beginning stages of the adoption process! We look forward to finding our baby, hopefully someday soon. Feel free to visit our adoption blog: www.spencerandwhitneyadoption.blogspot.com.

10. As we celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ, we are so grateful for His life and gospel and the blessings they bring to our family. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy 2011!

Love,

Spencer and Whitney Blake
