Grandma and Grandpa Visit!

We had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa this past weekend!  It was SO much fun to have them here!  The weather wasn’t that great, so we did a lot of stuff inside, but it was so nice just to be together.  We just did lots of reading stories, playing games, eating food, and visiting and laughing.  Lots of ordinary things that were made special by the people we were with.   

We did manage to go to the park/on walks a few times on the days the weather was nice-ish.  M had such a blast playing with Grandma and Grandpa.  We took turns holding him while we went down the slides.  And we let M go down a few times “by himself” a.k.a. we held him under the armpits and helped him slide down and he thought that was the coolest thing in the universe. 


The above picture KILLS me.  He looks so like the little mischief maker he is.  We let M crawl back and forth through the tunnel (Spence was on the other end) and I wasn’t sure if we were ever going to get M to come back out.  He was having way too much fun.
 
One highlight of the trip was taking Mom and Dad to the station so Spence could give them the grand tour.  It’s always fun to visit Spencer at work and show people the studio.  I forgot my camera dang it!  So the pictures aren’t the most fabulous, but I love them anyway. 

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then M decided he was done being an anchor man (when he doesn’t like something he arches)… So we tried letting him be a weatherman! 

We got to show Mom and Dad the green screen.  Pretty cool! 

M did something really cute while they were here.  M and I were sitting in the backseat with Grandpa and I kept trying to get M to say “Papa.”  M finally said “PA!” and was so excited that he kept saying it over and over.  I would ask M, “Who is this?” while pointing at my dad and M would holler, “PA!”  He was so proud and excited.  It was adorable. 

It was so fun to have a visit, but it made me miss my sisters. And now Grandma and Grandpa are back home as well so we’ve just been missing family today.  It’s always hard to get back into the swing of things after having so much fun.
